The Pitman Golf Course will offer a variety of player developmental programs designed to introduce new players to the game of golf as well as help golfers looking to improve their existing skills. The following descriptions offer an overview of the programs that will be featured and available to players of all levels as well as the beginning golfer;
Get Golf Ready
Designed for the beginner level golfer, this program started in 2009 with great response. This clinic series will focus on the basics of swing instruction, golf course etiquette and rules needed to start playing out on the course. Every clinic finishes with "on the course" instruction and playing. The program features a series of five classes that last one hour each and the cost is just !
Link Up 2 Golf
Started in 2004, this player developmental program is ideal for those who have graduated from a beginner level type program or for those with limited experience. This program features a series of (4) four clinics that last one and a half hours long and the cost is 9 per person.
Individual Lessons
This is the traditional "one on one" session and features swing instruction geared specifically for your game. Each lesson lasts 30 minutes and the cost is . We also offer a series of three lessons as well as a beginner series of five.
Organized Play
These programs, called "Graduate Events", will consist of opportunities for players searching for options to barriers such as “I have nobody to play with” or “the game takes to long to play” or “a round of golf costs to much money”.
All of the Play Golf America programs will require registration since many classes will be limited in size. Contact our Pro Shop staff to review current programs being offered.
Remember, the game of golf offers a unique form of activity and sport where players of all abilities can participate together. Golf takes a lifetime to learn but is enjoyed the moment you begin.

Helpful Hints For Taking Golf Lessons
- Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled lesson so you can loosen up and begin the lesson on time.
- Prepare a list of questions or develop a set of goals you wish to accomplish with your game and remember to be open and honest with your abilities at this point.
- Make sure you understand everything begin discussed, there are no “dumb” questions regarding the game of golf.
- Remember to have fun and enjoy your instruction sessions.
- Cancellation Policy: Please call 24 hours in advance to cancel your lesson.
- If you arrive late for your scheduled lesson, it could be cancelled due to time commitments.
- Bring all your clubs to the lesson. If you are a beginner and need clubs, let the staff know when you schedule your lesson.
